Dimensions is a nationwide organization supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism, ensuring they live safely and happily. Holistic Fire Safety was engaged in 2022 to provide fire door replacements, remedial works, and a nationwide reactive service.

 
 

Key Deliverables

  • Initial Scope & Compliance Alignment:

    • Held an initial project meeting in August 2022 to define client objectives and priorities.

    • Aligned works with statutory regulations: RRFSO 2005, BSA 2022, FSA 2021, and FSER 2022.

  • Risk-Based & Proportionate Approach:

    • Developed a strategic remediation plan to address fire door non-compliance.

    • Prioritized remediation over replacement where feasible, ensuring cost-effective solutions.

  • Expansion to Nationwide Service:

    • Evolved from a localized project into a nationwide reactive service.

    • Successfully completed 300+ reactive call-outs, with most jobs addressed within 7 days of reporting.

Reactive Works Approach

  • First Time Fix Priority:

    • Aimed to complete repairs on the first visit wherever possible.

    • If repairs could not be completed, conducted a detailed survey documenting the issue.

    • Provided photographic evidence and a proposed solution for further action.

Planned Works & Nationwide Execution

  • Over 150 properties received planned fire safety improvements, including:

    • Fire Door Remediations to enhance existing fire safety infrastructure.

    • Fire Door Replacements where remediation was unviable.

    • Fire Stopping to ensure effective compartmentation.

Outcome & Impact

  • Enhanced fire safety compliance across Dimensions properties nationwide.

  • Efficient turnaround, minimizing risks by addressing issues promptly.

  • Cost-effective approach, ensuring remediation was prioritized where viable.

  • Long-term partnership, expanding services based on demonstrated reliability and expertise.
